As an influential naturalist, John Muir never strayed from his beliefs while making a difference in society. Inspired by the natural sciences and the exploration of nature, Muir dedicated his life to the preservation of wilderness and spent much of his time in Yosemite Valley. This biography of John Muir would work well in a science class, or even as a study of how the events in Muir’s life lead him to embark on a lifelong journey as an environmental activist.
